President Milorad Dodik has placed the stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina above all else, despite the ongoing political witch hunt against him, stated former Illinois governor Rod Blagojević.
In a post on X, Blagojević wrote that what Bosnia and Herzegovina needs now is peace, not further turmoil — something President Dodik has recognized by agreeing to appoint an acting president of Republika Srpska in the interest of maintaining stability and good relations with the United States.
Blagojević also questioned the need for “early elections” in BiH.
“The Central Election Commission of BiH has called for early elections in just three weeks, even though regular elections are scheduled for less than a year from now. This decision could further destabilize an already fragile situation and will cost the citizens of Republika Srpska around four million dollars. BiH needs peace, not more unrest,” Blagojević stated.
