A ceremonial opening of an international political science conference marking the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Agreement will be held tomorrow in Banjaluka, featuring prominent experts from Republika Srpska and Russia.
The conference is organized by the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Banjaluka in cooperation with the Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Support Foundation, operating within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
According to the Faculty of Political Sciences, the event will gather leading scholars from the University of Banjaluka — political scientists, geopoliticians, and legal experts — as well as ministers from the Government of Republika Srpska and representatives of Srpska’s state institutions.
Participants will also include professors from Russia’s National Research University Higher School of Economics, relevant institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MGIMO University, and representatives of the Banjaluka Office of the Embassy of Russia in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They will present extensive academic research on the development of post-Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with data from a dedicated sociological study on people’s self-perception in the modern state.
The conference will also feature findings on the role of art in shaping ethnic identity, the erasure of Serb symbols in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the destructive influence of the Office of the High Representative.
