Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó described the lifting of U.S. sanctions against President Milorad Dodik as an excellent decision, noting that Dodik has done a great deal for relations between Republika Srpska and Hungary.
“I hope that all my European colleagues will understand the message this decision sends,” Szijjártó wrote on X.
The U.S. Department of the Treasury lifted sanctions imposed on President Milorad Dodik, Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović, Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić, as well as other individuals and companies targeted during the previous American administration.
