17th International Animated Film Festival Banja Luka officially closed

The 17th International Animated Film Festival Banja Luka 2025 has officially concluded, held with the support of the Audio-Visual Center of Republika Srpska.

Director of the Center, Anja Ilić, attended the closing ceremony and presented a monetary award of 2,000 KM to the winning film “Syn”, granted by the Audio-Visual Center of Republika Srpska.

The Grand Prix in the children’s film category went to “Syn”, directed by Zhanna Bekmambetov and produced in Russia and Kazakhstan. The award was accepted by the film’s executive producer, Svetlana Naumenko.

Anja Ilić, Director of the Audio-Visual Center of Republika Srpska, emphasized the importance of the festival:

“This festival is one of our most significant cultural events, and the record number of 578 films from 57 countries submitted this year is a testament to its growing recognition. By bringing together authors and animation enthusiasts from across the country and the region, the festival opens new opportunities for young talents and promotes high-quality visual art, which reflects its true value. I congratulate the organizers — the Association for Visual Arts ‘Feniks Art’ — on another successfully executed edition of the festival,” Ilić stated.
