Ido Netanyahu: Muslim radicalization of Europe inevitable unless leaders act

Israeli writer Ido Netanyahu told SRNA that Muslim radicalization in Europe is inevitable unless European leaders take decisive action to stop it.

Netanyahu said the world is currently witnessing a struggle against radical Muslim forces—both Sunni and Shiite—that are trying to expand their reach globally. He argued that preserving freedom and national identity requires the kind of courage the Israeli people have demonstrated over the past two years.

Israel, Netanyahu added, has just finished a war in which it fought bravely against the radical “Muslim Brotherhood” ideology, whose aims go beyond killing Jews to targeting Christians as well.

“The ideology of the Muslim Brotherhood says that Christians and Jews must submit — otherwise they should be killed,” Netanyahu said, identifying this ideology with Hamas and stressing the need to understand and oppose it.

He warned that the threat remains present in Europe, pointing to migration patterns and the takeover of some Muslim communities by radical groups.

Netanyahu also raised concerns about Iran’s weapons programs, saying Tehran has been developing nuclear and long-range ballistic capabilities that would threaten not only Israel but also European and American cities.

“They would become a major power with a nuclear bomb. We were close to preventing that only after we destroyed their bomb-making infrastructure,” he said.

Ido Netanyahu is the brother of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
