The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Savo Minić, met today in Banja Luka with Israeli author Ido Netanyahu, brother of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Minić expressed satisfaction with the visit of the distinguished Israeli writer to Republika Srpska, emphasizing the importance of further developing and strengthening cultural ties between Republika Srpska and Israel.
He noted that the two nations share much in common, and that historical trials and tragedies have forged a special relationship between them.
The Israeli writer thanked Minić for his hospitality, stressing that the two nations are also connected by their mutual desire to preserve their identity — a bond rooted not only in history but also in present realities.
A special focus of the meeting was on the presentation of Ido Netanyahu’s novel “Itamar K.”, which is being held this evening at Banski Dvor in Banja Luka.
Minić expressed pleasure that readers in Republika Srpska would have the opportunity to become acquainted with the works of such a respected author.
The meeting was also attended by Željko Budimir, Minister of the Interior of Republika Srpska.
