Dodik: Republika Srpska is on the path to victory; our policy remains unchanged

Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik stated that the Serb entity is on the right path toward victory, emphasizing that the recent events in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska should be seen as part of the broader effort to reposition Srpska’s political standing.

“Our policy remains the same. Bosnia and Herzegovina is unsustainable. The only way to achieve lasting peace and stability here — which we truly care about — is for BiH to be organized according to the will of its constituent peoples,” said Dodik.

He underlined that Republika Srpska is a fully defined entity, and that the only thing missing is its independent status.

“As for the other entity — that’s their concern, not ours. It doesn’t interest us, nor should it interest the Serbs. The political narrative we hear these days about their so-called victory is pitiful — as pitiful as a state that ‘wins’ only when a foreigner imposes decisions that become law,” Dodik said.

He reiterated that such a Bosnia and Herzegovina has no future, adding that Srpska’s focus must now be on strengthening its position and preparing for a new political stage.

“For Republika Srpska, a non-constitutional Bosnia is unacceptable. The current BiH is deformed and unconstitutional — all of this will have to be suspended before any kind of sustainable agreement can even be discussed,” he noted.

Dodik also stated that the Dayton Peace Agreement is effectively dead, having been dismantled by those who claimed to defend it — while punishing those in Republika Srpska who actually upheld it.

“Dayton was not a gift that created Republika Srpska — Srpska was created by the efforts and sacrifices of the Serb people themselves. The agreement was later distorted beyond recognition. If it still existed, there would be no Armed Forces of BiH, no indirect taxation system, no SIPA, no BiH Prosecutor’s Office or Court, and no intelligence service. All of that was imposed outside Dayton,” Dodik stressed.

He concluded that Republika Srpska will continue to defend its sovereignty and dignity, guided by the belief that it was built through the will and perseverance of its people — not by the will of foreign powers.
