Russian president congratulates Serb Unity Day; Dodik: We want Russia to prosper

During their meeting in Sochi, Russian President Vladimir Putin told Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik that he was pleased to see him again.
“Congratulations on Serb Unity Day. I am glad to see you,” Putin said.

Dodik expressed satisfaction at attending the Valdai Forum.
“We want Russia to continue advancing. I was also here for May 9. I am pleased with our cooperation, which in my view is very good,” Dodik stated.

He also noted that the situation in Republika Srpska is complicated.

Earlier, Dodik said that his talks with the Russian leader would focus on the current situation and bilateral relations, expressing confidence that new agreements for the future would be reached.
“We will discuss the current situation, our mutual relations, and review what has been achieved from our previous agreements,” Dodik said.

Before the meeting, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov welcomed President Dodik, thanking him for coming to Sochi and attending the Valdai Forum.

Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered an address at the plenary session of the 22nd annual Valdai International Discussion Club, which was also attended by President Dodik.
