Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his meeting last night with Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik in Sochi that the situation in Srpska is complex.
“I know that the situation in your country is extremely difficult—one could say complicated,” Putin remarked.
He expressed satisfaction with the meeting on the sidelines of the Valdai Forum, adding that he was interested in hearing Dodik’s assessment. Putin emphasized that Dodik has been working extensively on strengthening relations with Russia.
Dodik said he was pleased to have the opportunity to review with Putin the strong, stable, and strategic ties between Republika Srpska and Russia, agreeing with Putin’s assessment of the situation.
“I agree with you that the situation in our country is complicated,” Dodik stated.
He also thanked Putin for the opportunity to participate in the Valdai Club session.
