Cvijanović-Lagumdžija BiH UN mission became the focus of criticism today.
Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović said that walking out of the UN General Assembly hall during the speech of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was a unilateral move by the renegade Permanent Mission of BiH to the UN, headed by Zlatko Lagumdžija, who represents only the Bosniaks.
“Who authorized the Permanent Mission of BiH to the UN for its delegation to leave the UN General Assembly hall during the speech of the Israeli Prime Minister? This is a unilateral move by a renegade mission, led by Lagumdžija, who represents only the Bosniaks and not the entire BiH. This act reflects disrespect for both the Constitution and laws of their own country, as well as for the official of another state,” Cvijanović wrote on X.
She pointed out that Lagumdžija has long ceased to represent Republika Srpska, which constitutes 49 percent of BiH’s territory, because he does not act in accordance with the instructions of the BiH Presidency, the only body authorized to conduct foreign policy.
The BiH delegation walked out of the United Nations hall in New York today during the speech of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the General Assembly.
Lagumdžija told Avaz that the move was “logical.”
