The exhibition “The Sound of Time and Colors” by academic painter Nataša Jurošević has opened in Doboj, showcasing 26 works created over the past few years.
Motifs from nature have been an endless source of inspiration for Jurošević since childhood. Pastel colors dominate her work, all created in small formats using oil on canvas.
“That really stayed with me—collecting pinecones, painting them, playing with leaves, and in that way expressing my creativity. I wanted every millimeter of the painting to be well painted, so it could be commented on not only as a whole but also in every part individually,” said Nataša Jurošević, academic painter from Banja Luka.
The artist combines different materials and surfaces, while working with oil paints remains the most demanding painting technique.
“The artist has played with her past, with her childhood—drawing on those roots of playing with leaves, with nature, the time spent outdoors—and that had a great influence on her. Within two years of activity and work, she managed to bring it all together into one exhibition,” emphasized Mišo Damjanović, expert associate for gallery activities.
This is Nataša’s 16th solo exhibition, and the first time she has presented her works to the audience in Doboj.
“Our doors are open to support art in our city, and at the same time we make sure to bring here what is high quality and widely recognized,” said Vukosava Sofrenić, director of the Doboj Center for Culture and Education.
The young Banja Luka painter plans to organize her next exhibition in Stanari.
