An exhibition of drawings by Renato Rakić from Banja Luka has been opened at the Gallery in Novi Grad. The cycle of drawings and paintings by this artist was first presented in February at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska.
Rakić’s drawings confirm his mastery of the visual medium, using the possibilities of line, which in his case comes strongly to the fore. In this way, Rakić establishes an exceptionally powerful communication with the audience.
“This is a concept developed in 2025. We intended to open a new chapter, which I envisioned both through drawings and paintings, in agreement with the Gallery and the Museum of Contemporary Art. So the exhibition that was displayed in February has continued to travel across BiH, Serbia, and Montenegro. The agreement here was to exhibit the drawings,” said Renato Rakić, academic painter from Banja Luka.
Rakić is also one of the artists who previously took part in the Rakani Art Colony in Novi Grad.
“We hope that the art audience of Novi Grad will recognize the relevance of this exhibition and be satisfied with what we are presenting,” emphasized Mirjana Drljača, director of the Cultural and Educational Center Novi Grad.
The exhibition of Renato Rakić will be open to visitors until October 9.
