Republika Srpska achieved exports worth 3.474 billion KM in the first eight months of this year, which is seven percent more compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Republic Institute of Statistics.
During the same period, imports amounted to 4.93 billion KM, marking a 2.6 percent increase compared to last year.
The export-to-import coverage for the first eight months of this year stood at 70.4 percent.
Republika Srpska exported the most to Croatia, with a value of 617 million KM, followed by Serbia with 592 million KM. At the same time, the largest imports came from Serbia, totaling 896 million KM, and Italy, totaling 681 million KM.
The largest share in exports was held by electricity, worth 348 million KM, while the leading import was petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (excluding crude), with a total value of 316 million KM.
In August alone, Republika Srpska recorded exports worth 370 million KM and imports worth 562 million KM.
