The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, is and will remain the President of Republika Srpska, stated the Secretary General of the President of Srpska, Jelena Pajić Baštinac.
“The citizens of Republika Srpska gave their mandate to President Milorad Dodik precisely to preserve and improve the status of the Republic and its internal development, as well as to ensure the smooth functioning of institutions,” said Pajić Baštinac.
She explained that the President of the Republic authorized Vice President Davor Pranjić to sign decrees, but only with the mandatory consent of President Dodik, which is completely legal and legitimate.
“Republika Srpska has the strength and means to protect its elected representatives, institutions, as well as its dignity and future from the hostile Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and it will do so through legal means,” emphasized the Secretary General of the President of Srpska.
She told Srna that the hostile Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH aim to halt processes and the work of the institutions of the Republic in order to weaken its international position during the ongoing talks on BiH’s internal relations. According to her, this authorization is intended to prevent and avoid such an outcome.
“This move represents a responsible and well-thought-out step by the institutions of Srpska to prevent further political and judicial persecution of its top officials. At a time when indictments are being fabricated and when every decision of Republika Srpska is being criminalized through the illegal High Representative and his followers, it is logical that institutions take protective measures. One of them is this authorization allowing Vice President Pranjić to sign decrees, but only after review and approval by President Milorad Dodik,” explained Pajić Baštinac.
She stressed that Milorad Dodik is the President of the Republic, and that this is not an act of avoiding responsibility, but a decision to defend the constitutional order of Republika Srpska from hostile judicial institutions that continually attack it with unlawful means.
“It is clear that the attacks from Sarajevo and certain Western power centers are purely politically motivated. The main targets are the highest officials of Srpska, and first among them is the leader of the Serb people, who is their greatest obstacle in the attempt to destroy Srpska because he defends the interests of his people and refuses to accept humiliation,” concluded Pajić Baštinac.
