A diverse offer and lower book prices have attracted many visitors to this year’s 30th jubilee Book Fair. Our team toured the fair to meet publishers, authors, and to find out which titles are the most sought after at the largest literary event in Republika Srpska.
The fair once again brought together numerous publishers and exhibitors from the country and the region, who presented their new editions to the local audience. At discounted fair prices, shelves of many publishing houses feature European and world classics, as well as contemporary psychology titles which, by all literary standards, have been number one in demand for many years.
If you wish to expand your personal library with works of Serb authors, on average you will need to set aside between 15 and 20 marks per title. The publishing house Laguna says that, once again, the best-selling books are those written by domestic authors, and we were also interested in the demand for works of foreign writers.
Authors proudly displayed their new works again this year, noting that the Banja Luka fair is an ideal opportunity to present their literary novelties to a wider audience.
The Official Gazette of Republika Srpska presented its new book Letter to Petar, published as part of a recently launched literary edition.
Also presented at the fair was the first poetry collection I Remain Silent so Shadows Have Eyes by author Milana Majar.
The fair doors will remain open until September 22, every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
