Organized by the National Library, the novel “Oganj” by Nenad Milekić, a writer from Mali Zvornik, was promoted in Mrkonjić Grad.
The novel is the third part of the tetralogy “Pogrom”, which deals with the suffering of the Serb people in the late 1990s on the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
The plot of the novel is set during the March pogrom of Serbs in Kosovo.
“The book follows both Serbs and Albanians through history and what led to the March pogrom, as well as what the future holds for our people there. Also, through this novel I wanted to do something our writers rarely do—I addressed the Gorani people, our brothers in Kosovo, who are often mistakenly identified with Albanians, which is not true. The book therefore also describes the suffering of the Gorani,” said Milekić.
