American activist Charlie Kirk stood for values shared by every patriot, and those who think differently no longer choose their means in confronting people devoted to Christian and family values, said Radovan Kovačević, Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.
“Banja Luka and Republika Srpska must show solidarity with Kirk’s family and with the American people, who have endured this kind of tragedy. Unfortunately, we live in BiH, where in some parts people even celebrate such a horrific act. It is evident that patriots worldwide have become targets. All means are being used against them—against people who cherish traditional values. Sadly, even today there are those who call themselves fighters against fascism, yet in that so-called fight they resort to every fascist method: dehumanizing, killing, and justifying those killings,” Kovačević said in front of the Palace of the Republic in Banja Luka, where many citizens lit candles for the slain American conservative activist.
Kovačević stressed that Charlie Kirk’s life should never have been cut short, as he promoted Christianity, the importance of family, and patriotism.
“As representatives of the largest political party in Republika Srpska, led by President Milorad Dodik, and as officials of the institutions of power, we wanted to pay tribute to a young man who was killed simply because he thought differently and defended the values of Christian society, family, and love,” Kovačević noted.
He added that he lit a candle for Kirk after a group of young people from Banja Luka initiated the commemoration to honor the American patriot who was a close ally of President Donald Trump.
“Of course, we immediately wanted to support this, because we believe Banja Luka and Republika Srpska must show solidarity with his family and the American people who have faced this tragedy,” said Kovačević.
He concluded by emphasizing that Republika Srpska does not support, and never will support, a society that dehumanizes, kills, or justifies murder.
