“We are Serbs who, in unity, form the whole of an invincible but also suffering nation,” said Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik on the occasion of the Day of Serb Unity, Freedom and the National Flag.
Dodik congratulated all citizens of Srpska and Serbia on the shared holiday, noting that September 15 symbolizes Serb heroism, sacrifice, and suffering, but also the call for freedom that culminated in the breakthrough of the Salonika Front.
He emphasized that this date is dedicated to the great feat of Serb soldiers—the breakthrough of the Salonika Front.
“The Serb army then brought freedom to Serbia, BiH, and other nations. We celebrate other holidays together with Serbia, but this one is a joint holiday, enshrined in the decisions of our governments. We are one people, neither Bosnian nor anything else. We are Serbs who, in unity, form the whole of an invincible but also suffering nation,” Dodik stated.
Republika Srpska and Serbia jointly mark the Day of Serb Unity, Freedom and the National Flag. The central ceremony is being held in Gadžin Han, with the Srpska delegation led by Minister of Labor Danijel Egić.
