The Futur2025 conference on new trends in tourism was held in Banja Luka on Monday, September 1, in the “Sutjeska” conference hall of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska.
Through discussions, reflections on new ideas, and analysis of the most modern tools, the conference produced concrete conclusions aimed at strengthening digital competencies in the tourism sector, increasing Banja Luka’s visibility as an innovative tourist destination, and building a network of cooperation between tourism stakeholders and the ICT sector.
New trends and the use of technological solutions in tourism are an imperative for experts in tourism, business, and information and communication technologies (ICT), with emphasis on the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence on tourism, and with the intention of exploring new opportunities for connecting the tourism sector with ICT experts.
The conference gathered representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism of Republika Srpska, the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska, the Tourist Organization of Republika Srpska, innovative companies, individuals, and creators of digital platforms that already apply advanced ICT tools and artificial intelligence in daily operations.
Among the conclusions defined at Futur2025 was the recognition of the need to create a platform that would serve as the main communication tool for all participants in the process of implementing new trends and technological achievements in tourism across Republika Srpska.
Futur2025 brought together institutional actors in tourism, tourist organizations and agencies, hoteliers and other accommodation providers, representatives of municipal and city tourism departments, the ICT sector, and digital marketing experts.
