Legal expert Ognjen Tadić stated that the Central Election Commission of BiH today decided that on November 23, just two days after the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the country will enter its fourth decade of life under foreign administration.
Tadić emphasized that he refuses to accept continued foreign rule, adding that the upcoming referendum on October 25 will show how many people in Republika Srpska share that view.
“November 23 is a very important day for me personally, because it will also mark thirty years of my relationship with my wife. Back in 1995, it never crossed our minds that we would have to spend the next three decades living, working, raising a family, and building property under foreign authority. We hoped that the signature on the Dayton Peace Agreement would definitively mean peace, democracy, and freedom,” Tadić told Srna.
Republika Srpska, through the conclusions of the National Assembly on August 22, rejected the possibility of holding early elections for the president of Republika Srpska and requested that all institutions of Srpska and local self-government units refrain from taking any actions related to their implementation.
The National Assembly of Republika Srpska also adopted a decision to hold a referendum regarding the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH against the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the decision of the Central Election Commission of BiH to terminate his mandate. The referendum is scheduled for October 25.
The referendum question reads: “Do you accept the decisions of the unelected foreigner Christian Schmidt and the rulings of the unconstitutional Court of BiH issued against the president of Republika Srpska, as well as the decision of the CEC to strip President Milorad Dodik of his mandate?”
