Strong reactions to the decision of the unconstitutional Court of BiH – force has prevailed over law

Following the decision of the Appellate Division of the unconstitutional Court of BiH, which rejected the appeal of the legal team of the president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, against the ruling of the Central Election Commission of BiH on the termination of the mandate of the president of Srpska, a strong message came from Republika Srpska – force has prevailed over law.

Former president of the Central Election Commission of BiH, Branko Petrić, told SRNA that the decision of the Court of BiH stemmed from an unlawful decision of the CEC, since Vanja Bjelica Prutina should have been excluded from voting on the removal of the mandate of the president of Republika Srpska, as she is involved in another dispute with the president of Srpska.

The president of the Organization of Senior Officers of the Army of Republika Srpska, Slobodan Župljanin, stated that the mandate of the president of Republika Srpska will be decided solely by those who gave him the mandate—the Serb people and other citizens of Srpska who have the right to vote.

The president of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, was elected in a legitimate and democratic manner, by the will of the citizens of Srpska who entrusted him with the mandate, and the attempt to forcibly take away that mandate is a classic act of aggression against Republika Srpska and the Serb people, said the deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, to SRNA.

The head of the SNSD caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Sanja Vulić, said today that the decision of the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH is yet more proof that law and justice do not exist in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Republika Srpska, its president Milorad Dodik, as well as all of Srpska’s institutions, defend the constitutional and legal order of Republika Srpska, and the force applied by the unconstitutional Court of BiH cannot survive long-term in the legal system of any country, said SNSD MP in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Milorad Kojić, to SRNA.

MP in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Miroslav Vujičić, said that the politically motivated decision of the Appellate Division of the unconstitutional Court of BiH represents the continuation of a fabricated process aimed at eliminating Serb representatives from political life.

The decision of the Appellate Division of the unconstitutional Court of BiH shows that there is no justice in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said the president of the Association of Women Victims of War of Republika Srpska, Božica Živković Rajilić, to SRNA.

The academic community of Republika Srpska appeals for all political representatives in the entities and at the level of BiH, as well as international political actors involved in the functioning of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to restore legal legitimacy to the decisions of the Court of BiH, said the rector of the University of Banja Luka, Radoslav Gajanin, to SRNA.

A referendum, as an expression of the will of the people, can at this moment give legitimacy to what will be the further decisions of the institutions of Srpska and all those who exercise power on behalf of the citizens, based on the trust they have received, said Bojan Šolaja of the Center for International and Security Studies.
