Lukić: Poorly staged show aimed at removing the president of Republika Srpska from the political scene

The verdict against the president of Republika Srpska is a poorly staged show whose goal is to remove Milorad Dodik from the political scene, said Radomir Lukić.

“The verdict against the president of Republika Srpska is not a judicial outcome, because that would require an impartial court and the rule of law—where the question is who makes the laws and whether they are morally valid. This is a quasi-judicial outcome based on quasi-laws. The citizens have already spoken through elections,” Lukić stressed.

He added that this is something contrary to law—where one man, who is illegitimate, chooses for the people and decides on behalf of their political representatives.

“The people should be asked whether they support recalling the president of Republika Srpska, because his mandate has not ended and it has not been taken away by the people. And if such a recall process were initiated, I am convinced it would fail, and it would be in the spirit of our Constitution,” Lukić said.

He emphasized that he expects no fair trial from the BiH judiciary and does not expect the Court of BiH to perform a judicial function, since it acts as a servant and cannot be called a court in the true sense.
