While I, a democratically elected president, am being targeted with a political verdict, war promoters with rifles in hand are lecturing others on democracy and the rule of law, wrote Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik on X, alluding to Tonino Picula, the EU rapporteur for Serbia, who posted a wartime photo of himself from “Operation Storm.”
“If these are European values, then it’s clear why more and more people are rejecting them. I have been and will remain committed to peace, to dialogue, and to the freedom of nations to choose their own leaders,” Dodik stated.
He added that Europe cannot build peace while celebrating ethnic cleansing.
“And it cannot defend the law if it rewards those who trampled it with weapons,” Dodik concluded.
