Head of the SNSD caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Sanja Vulić, stated that the BiH Central Election Commission (CEC) is erasing the will of the Serb people and Republika Srpska by stripping President Milorad Dodik of his mandate.
“There are Serbs sitting in the CEC—Vanja Bjelica-Prutina from SDS and Jovan Kalaba from PDP. International loyalists, not representatives of the people,” Vulić told SRNA.
She added that they are suited for a civic, unitarist BiH.
“Their loyalty is not to Republika Srpska but to Sarajevo,” Vulić emphasized.
The BiH CEC today issued a decision to terminate the mandate of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, a mandate granted to him by the people in the 2022 general elections.
The CEC decision is not yet final, and an appeal is allowed.
The decision followed a ruling by the Appellate Division of the BiH Court, which upheld the first-instance verdict sentencing Dodik to one year in prison and banning him from political activity for six years, on the grounds of “disrespecting decisions of Christian Schmidt.”
