The decision by the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Bosnia and Herzegovina to strip Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik of his mandate is not merely a dangerous precedent and an attack on one man, but an attack on an entire people—an assault on the very existence of Republika Srpska, stated Marko Milačić, President of True Montenegro.
“In this context, Milorad Dodik is merely a symbol. The real target is Republika Srpska,” said Milačić.
He emphasized that this is a political purge orchestrated by the Sarajevo political establishment and their international sponsors. Milačić pointed out that this is purely a political decision, formally made in Sarajevo but driven from outside.
“This is an undemocratic, anti-civilizational, and deeply anti-Serb act. This verdict does not punish a violation of the law, but a political stance. We are returning to an era when people were persecuted for their thoughts, and leaders for expressing the will of the people,” Milačić wrote in a statement.
He stressed that now, more than ever, it is crucial for Serbs—wherever they live: in Republika Srpska, Serbia, Montenegro, or the diaspora—to stand together as one.
“Let us send a clear message: we will not allow the erasure of Republika Srpska. We will not allow the historical and institutional humiliation of the Serb people,” Milačić declared.
He described the move as a continuation of the policy that has existed since the founding of Republika Srpska.
“That policy has never ceased—it merely changed its methods: from weapons to courtrooms, from threats to decrees by high representatives. But the goal has always been the same: a Republika Srpska without real power, without identity, without a voice,” he warned.
Milačić stressed that such a verdict will not strengthen Bosnia and Herzegovina—on the contrary, it will deepen divisions and destabilize the entire region.
“Sarajevo is trying to make Dodik the scapegoat for everything, while in reality, it seeks to destroy what most threatens that political elite—Republika Srpska as a legitimate entity created by the will of the people,” he emphasized.
Milačić concluded by saying that True Montenegro, along with the Serb people in Montenegro, stands firmly with Republika Srpska.
“We stand for the right of every people to choose its leaders, to preserve its identity, and to determine its own destiny,” he said.
