As part of the “Summer on the Vrbas” festival, the senior dajak race once again thrilled fans of this traditional sport and brought a wave of excitement to the riverbanks!
The best dajak rowers competed in a spectacular race that drew a large crowd of visitors.
Competitors gave their all, while hundreds of Banja Luka residents cheered from the riverbanks and bridges, rooting for their favorites and celebrating each stroke with children’s laughter and rounds of applause.
The undisputed winner of this year’s senior race was Andrej Zamolo, a Vrbas legend, who once again confirmed his champion status.
With 25 years of experience, Zamolo showcased impressive technique, strength, and exceptional dedication to this masterful craft.
His victory came as no surprise — the crowd welcomed him to the winner’s podium with a standing ovation.
Once again, the dajak race proved to be one of the most captivating events of “Summer on the Vrbas,” blending sport, tradition, and true competitive spirit!
