Župljanin: There is no place for conflict in BiH or the Balkans

Yesterday was a very important day for the international community—while in Sarajevo the first-instance verdict against President Dodik was confirmed, in Serbia there was an attempted coup aimed at preventing Vučić from supporting Dodik. However, that attempt failed, which sends a clear message that there is no place for conflict here, said Slobodan Župljanin, president of the Organization of Officers of the Army of Republika Srpska.

Speaking on RTRS Morning Program, Župljanin emphasized that talk of conflict in BiH is empty rhetoric pushed by Ramo Isak and Zukan Helez.

“There is no potential for conflict in BiH or the Balkans in general. Republika Srpska will not make a single wrong move that could lead to conflict, because it sends messages of peace and calls for dialogue, as the only solution is constructive dialogue among the three constituent peoples in BiH,” Župljanin stressed.

He stated that at least two major global powers understand the situation in BiH, are aware of what is happening in the Balkans, and will do everything to prevent conflict.

“The Organization of Officers stands at the forefront of the patriotic forces for the preservation of Republika Srpska and the values born out of the Defensive-Patriotic War. We recognized a long time ago what is going on here, and we will protect both Republika Srpska and its institutions. We will use all means to defend what we gained during the war, and no one has the right to bargain with that,” Župljanin emphasized.
