Vujičić: Verdict against the Republika Srpska president based on decision of an unelected foreigner is a judicial precedent

Miroslav Vujičić, a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, told SRNA that the confirmation of the first-instance verdict against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik—based on a decision of an unelected foreigner—is an unprecedented event in the history of the judiciary and a permanent stain on the BiH judicial system.

He emphasized that the entire process had nothing to do with law or logic, and that foreign actors clearly aim to destabilize Bosnia and Herzegovina. The real impact on the country’s future functioning remains to be seen.

“It is entirely clear that foreign interference is catastrophic for BiH. This policy is supported by part of the Bosniak political establishment, which believes it can achieve certain political goals through the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office,” Vujičić said.

He concluded that this confirmation marks the final act in a politically orchestrated process, adding that from the very beginning it was evident the extra-constitutional Court and Prosecutor’s Office of BiH aimed to eliminate Dodik from political life.
