Newly appointed Head of the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in France, Bojana Kondić Panić, stated that it is a great honor to continue promoting the economic, cultural, and tourism potential of Republika Srpska in her new role, thereby contributing to the continued strengthening of ties between the Serb and French peoples.
“This position also carries great responsibility, but I am confident that in one of Europe’s most influential countries we will succeed in building an even better image of Republika Srpska. I will continue working on connecting businesses from Republika Srpska with partners in France, as well as on establishing cultural and academic cooperation,” Panić told SRNA. She previously served as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s ambassador in Paris.
Panić pointed out that French entrepreneurs have shown interest in cooperating with Republika Srpska and noted that one French company recently signed contracts with firms from both Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH in the textile industry.
“I recently visited a company operating in the IT sector, and they expressed interest in collaborating with universities in BiH, including those in Republika Srpska. There is great potential and several ongoing projects that will be implemented in the near future,” Panić highlighted.
We have many friends in France
She emphasized that Republika Srpska has many friends in France and that she will work to further strengthen those ties.
“There is also a significant diaspora presence, and cultural cooperation is one of our priorities. We are planning concerts by French artists who have shown interest in performing in Banja Luka, and we are also working to have our artists perform in France. I am confident there will be success in the field of culture,” she added.
She also noted the importance of cooperation in the field of medicine, given France’s notable progress in that area.
“Agreements are underway that will further improve cooperation in this sector as well. Naturally, cooperation in tourism is also very important. Many activities are planned for the upcoming period,” Panić announced.
Bojana Kondić Panić has also served as the permanent representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to UNESCO, the Francophonie, the International Organisation of Vine and Wine, the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
At the farewell reception in Paris marking the end of her ambassadorial mandate, ambassadors, friends, colleagues, and representatives of cultural and public life gathered to honor her work.
