Global freestyle motocross stars coming to Banja Luka

As part of the Freshwave Festival, the Red Bull FMX Jam spectacle will take place this year at the Kastel Fortress in Banja Luka.

Red Bull athlete Jose Mincha leads a team of top FMX riders who will perform on August 7 at the Kastel Fortress as part of the Red Bull FMX Jam. Joining him are Mario Lucas and Troy Verburgh.

The biggest FMX show in the region – Red Bull FMX Jam – will transform the Banja Luka fortress into a stage for the wildest aerial stunts this August. On August 7, the audience can expect an evening full of adrenaline, light effects, roaring engines, and breathtaking tricks. The names of the riders who will deliver this unique freestyle motocross spectacle have now been confirmed.

The headline act is none other than Jose “Mincha,” the Spanish Red Bull athlete who has been making waves across Europe with his performances at Night of the Jumps and Gladiator Games.
Mincha, whose full name is Jose Canosa, is known for his technical precision and bold mid-air combinations.

He recently set social media on fire with a tandem trick alongside Danny Roman—while Mincha soared above the ramp, Roman sped underneath him at full speed in a wingsuit.

The Banja Luka audience is in for a spectacle, as Mincha isn’t coming just to participate—he’s coming to dominate. Also hailing from Spain is Mario Lucas, a rider who has already made his mark on motocross tracks with national championship titles and a podium finish at EMX125 in Valkenswaard. He recently transitioned to the FMX world, seeking a closer connection with the audience and a new way to showcase both his speed and charisma through freestyle tricks. Riding a KTM SX 250, Lucas offers the perfect balance between the old school and the new spirit of freestyle.

Joining them is Troy Verburgh, a young rider with a last name well-known to FMX fans. His father, Jimmy Verburgh, was one of the sport’s pioneers in Europe and played a key role in its development. Troy now continues the family tradition—riding a GASGAS MC 250, he brings freshness, technique, and remarkable confidence, despite being the youngest among the riders. The audience can expect clean lines, high jumps, and tricks rarely seen from someone so new to the big stage.

Red Bull FMX Jam is not a competition—it’s a show, a fusion of art and extreme sport. With a combination of music, engines, and never-before-seen tricks, the audience can expect an unforgettable experience.
