Dodik: Support for Israel’s rational position

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that recognizing the Palestinian Authority as a state without any agreement with Israel is not an act of peace, but a precedent that undermines international law and the architecture of global stability. He emphasized that a state which does not factually exist cannot be recognized.

“That is why I strongly support the clear and rational position of Israel and a large part of the international community—that unilateral political gestures do not resolve decades-long conflicts, but only create new problems,” Dodik wrote on the social media platform X.

He added that France and the United Kingdom, through their actions, are attempting to project their own geopolitical frustrations onto the lives of others, pushing the world toward even greater instability.

“Peace between Israel and Palestine can only come, first, through the elimination of the terrorist organization Hamas, and then through an agreement between the Jewish and Palestinian peoples—not through symbolic and hasty decisions that ignore the reality on the ground,” Dodik argued.

According to him, international law must not be used as a tool for political PR.

“Even when many choose to remain silent, Republika Srpska will not—because we know what it means when others try to shape your destiny without you,” Dodik concluded.
