The visit of the economic delegation from Tatarstan to Republika Srpska is of great significance, as it will enable our products to reach the Russian market. Everyone here engaged in production can meet their demands, as Tatarstan is a large market. They are interested in our brandy, wines, and other food products. There is also strong interest in fruit, said the Minister of Trade and Tourism of Srpska, Denis Šulić, on RTRS Morning Program.
“Tatarstan is a strategic partner of Srpska thanks to the cooperation between President Milorad Dodik and Vladimir Putin. There are many economic sectors where we can establish cooperation. They are also known for spa tourism, so we are working on building ties in that sector as well. Our goal is to attract their tourists to visit, and this will be one of the topics of our upcoming visit to them. We plan to present all our tourism potentials to their industry representatives,” Šulić stated.
During this visit, a number of areas for cooperation were mapped out, and the first benefits of this partnership are already emerging.
“I’m proud that their first economic visit was to Gradiška, where they visited major companies and the business zone. From that visit, we also saw how dedicated some of our local community leaders are to their cities,” Šulić added.
Šulić emphasized that they will continue working on easing export procedures for domestic products, despite current difficulties.
“During one of our visits to the Russian Federation, we found our beer in several of their markets and were delighted. Regardless of the challenges, we are finding ways to export our products to the Russian market—and we will continue doing so,” said Šulić.
