Following their last friendly match before the league opener, in which they defeated first-league side Zvijezda 09 with a score of 4:1 on the opponent’s ground, Radnik Bijeljina head coach Duško Vranješević expressed satisfaction, emphasizing that the match served as a clear indication of how the team should play in the upcoming battles for points.
Two goals were scored by newcomer Đorđe Ćosić, while Luka Čumić and Faruk Gogić added one each.
“This was a very good test in which some players spent 60 minutes on the pitch, and others 30. I can say I’m pleased with what we showed, as well as with how the preparations went. Even though we had many changes in the squad during the summer—13 new players—I believe we’ve done a good job and are fully ready for the competitive matches,” said Vranješević.
He added that some of the later arrivals are not yet at the desired competitive level but expressed confidence they will get there soon.
“The most important thing is that we now have at least two players competing for each position, which ensures healthy competition within the squad,” Vranješević concluded.
