President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik announced that from this moment forward, the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) of Republika Srpska will have a permanent order to investigate Christian Schmidt and his actions.
“I will issue a permanent order. I will request that Republika Srpska institutions investigate Schmidt for as long as he lives, asking why he did what he did. We believe we will find him somewhere,” Dodik stated at a press conference in Banja Luka.
Dodik emphasized that in the next ten years, Schmidt’s movements will be monitored, as well as those of Branislav Borenović and the offices they cooperate with—these connections will also be examined.
He accused Schmidt of being concerned only with money, claiming he acts as his own “pension agent” and that this is the true motive behind his actions.
“He only looks for ways to pass decisions that benefit him. His behavior has nothing to do with the role of High Representative, but everything to do with a man trying to settle his own account. He is not a legitimately appointed High Representative, nor is he a politician or diplomat—he is a project manager,” said Dodik.
Dodik further warned that Republika Srpska will declare independence if Schmidt imposes any decisions regarding property ownership.
He reiterated that Republika Srpska remains stable and is regularly fulfilling all of its financial obligations.
As a reminder, Christian Schmidt this morning imposed a decision in the case of the Slovenian company Viadukt, ordering that funds be withdrawn from the single account—specifically from the portion belonging to Republika Srpska—and also imposed a decision obligating the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina to provide funding for new technologies in the election process.
