At the very entrance to the Potočari Memorial Center, a minor incident occurred when members of the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior requested that official vehicles used by Christian Schmidt and his escort be moved.
Judging by the reactions of members of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies and the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior, Schmidt’s security initially ignored the request to move the vehicle, and later reluctantly moved them a few meters forward.
One of the vehicles was parked on the sidewalk, which severely disrupted traffic due to the arrival of a large number of delegations, Hayat reports.
At one point, one of Schmidt’s vehicles ran over a protective barrier, which tipped over from the pressure, hit the hood of an official vehicle, and caused damage. Fortunately, no pedestrians were injured.
