Ilija Ivanović, actor of the National Theatre of Republika Srpska, has received the award for Best Young Actor at the 44th Theatre Games of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Jajce, for his outstanding performance as Ruprecht in the national theatre’s production of The Broken Jug.
The National Theatre of Republika Srpska stated that this award is yet another confirmation of the quality and dedication of the young actors within its ensemble.
“Congratulations to Ilija Ivanović on this important recognition!” the theatre announced.
The play The Broken Jug by Heinrich von Kleist, directed by Tatjana Mandić Rigonat, opened this year’s competition program at the festival and also marked the closing of the 95th theatre season of the National Theatre of Srpska.
The Theatre Games of BiH ran from June 27 until yesterday.
