On the first day of the European Junior Swimming Championships held in Šamorín, Slovakia, two swimmers from Banja Luka’s Olimp club, Vanja Kvočka and Andrei Čolić, took to the pool.
Both competed in the 50-meter backstroke heats. Kvočka achieved a personal best of 27.71, meeting the junior A qualifying standard and making an excellent start to his competition. This result also set a new Bosnia and Herzegovina record for the under-16 (cadet) category.
Čolić completed the same distance in 28.60, finishing close to his personal best.
Kvočka is set to compete in the 200-meter backstroke heats on Thursday, while Borac’s Relja Grahovac will swim in the 50-meter freestyle heats.
