Blagojevich: I will do everything to lift USA sanctions against the president of Republika Srpska

I will do everything I can to help lift the sanctions imposed on the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, by the previous U.S. administration, said former governor of the U.S. state of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, in an interview with RTRS.

“Whether it will be possible—we’ll see. Those sanctions are wrong. What’s needed is support from the right place. As a good lawyer, you must present strong arguments. And the arguments are on our side—those sanctions are unjust. In this case, the judge will be Trump,” said Blagojevich.

In the interview, he clearly reiterated his intention to explain to U.S. President Donald Trump what Republika Srpska and the Serb people are going through.

Blagojevich is aware of the significant connection between Dodik, Trump, and himself. He stated that all three of them are victims of an instrumentalized, corrupt judiciary—because, as he put it, they could not be defeated at the ballot box.

“I’m still stunned by what they do and how they get away with it. You have a German official who is essentially acting as a monarch, introducing a new form of colonialism in the 21st century. And there are people who support him—leftists. This is colonialism—what this illegitimately appointed representative Christian Schmidt is doing. It all started with Ambassador Michael Murphy, appointed by former U.S. President Joe Biden,” said Blagojevich.

He added that this is not a coincidence, but part of a broader strategy driven by Democrats and leftist organizations against popular leaders.

“This is all part of a plan. It’s about political power—for personal gain, not for the people. What’s particularly damaging is that they’re destroying constitutional authority, abusing the rule of law, and eroding democracy. It’s a form of administrative tyranny,” Blagojevich emphasized.

After being politically persecuted, Rod Blagojevich is now a free man and still a voice of influence.
