The event “Princip Days in East New Sarajevo” officially begins today with the opening of the seventh session of the “Beli Buk” art colony at the Cultural Center.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., according to the East New Sarajevo Cultural Center.
At 8:00 p.m., a conversation is planned with Andrea Jeftanović on the topic “Roots in the past, and the heart in Sarajevo and Chile” at the Internet Reading Room of the Main Library in East Sarajevo. The discussion will focus on the Jeftanović family, their origins and identity, and the way Sarajevo roots shaped Andrea’s personal and cultural identity.
Andrea will also speak about the events that impacted the Jeftanović family during the two world wars, her life in Chile, her father’s return to Orthodoxy, as well as the memories tied to the Old Church in Sarajevo.
The audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and participate in a discussion on these topics, according to the City Administration of East Sarajevo.
Tomorrow at 8:30 p.m., the cabaret play “Love Behind the Scenes”, starring Mina Lazarević and Vladimir Posavec Tušek, will be performed at Trg Srbija.
On Thursday, June 26, at 8:00 p.m., the Cultural Center in East New Sarajevo will host the book promotion of “The Other Half of Me”, written by Siniša Mitrić.
As part of the “Princip Days in East New Sarajevo,” on Friday, June 27, the play “The Princess” by Jelena Kajgo will be performed at Trg Srbija at 9:00 p.m., starring Milica Lučić and Dejan Đonović.
On Saturday, June 28—Vidovdan—flowers will be laid at 10:00 a.m. on the grave of Gavrilo Princip at the Church of the Holy Archangels Gabriel and George Cemetery in Sarajevo, and at 12:00 p.m. at the Gavrilo Princip monument in East New Sarajevo.
At 8:00 p.m., works from the seventh session of the “Beli Buk” art colony will be presented at the Cultural Center in East New Sarajevo, officially marking the conclusion of the multi-day event.
