Pađeni Dairy from Bileća is among the companies that have received the green light to export products of animal origin to Russia.
With an annual production of about nine million kilograms of dairy products, the company has been exporting to the European market for many years, in addition to regional markets.
The first order of dairy products has also arrived from the U.S. market. Exporting to Russia will present a particular challenge.
The reason, according to Pađeni Dairy, is that Russian regulations are stricter compared to European and American standards. However, no changes will be made to the technological production process.
The export license means that the team of technologists and more than two hundred employees can now begin preparations. Russian representatives inquired about the production process at the dairy seven years ago. A key task ahead will be finding distribution routes and importers within the Russian Federation.
Based on previous experience entering foreign markets, it will take time to harmonize procedures for access to the Russian market as well. They do not intend to give up.
In addition to dairy products, the agreement with the Russian Federation includes the export of pork and beef, fish and fish products, fruits and vegetables. The agreement also permits the import of mineral fertilizers for domestic agriculture, among other goods.
