Stefan Milenković held a concert marking the anniversary of the music school

One of the most renowned violinists of our time, Stefan Milenković, performed in Prijedor to mark the 70th anniversary of the “Savo Balaban” Music School and World Music Day.

The audience in Prijedor enjoyed a carefully curated classical program for violin and piano, ranging from Baroque and Handel to Beethoven, Sarasate, and Wieniawski.

With this performance, Milenković once again affirmed his status as a world-class artist, as well as someone who fosters a sincere and warm relationship with his audience.

Following the concert, he expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome, emphasizing how special it is for him to perform in cities where there is genuine love for music.

“It was a beautiful, heartfelt, and intimate evening. For us artists, that means a lot—when from the very beginning an energy is created and the audience, in a way, participates in the performance,” said Milenković.

Aljoša Novaković, director of the “Savo Balaban” Music School, highlighted the importance of this event not only for the school but for the entire city.

“It is a great honor for us to host one of the world’s best violinists on World Music Day. We hope that Prijedor and this concert will remain a fond memory for our maestro,” said Novaković.

Prior to the concert, the Mayor of Prijedor, Slobodan Javor, hosted an official reception for Milenković and his piano accompanist, Natalija Mladenović.

“The arrival of such a great artist in Prijedor is not only an honor, but also confirmation that our city is becoming recognized as a center of cultural events in Republika Srpska and beyond. Milenković is not only an outstanding artist, but also someone whose presence and energy inspire generations,” said Javor.

This spectacular concert was held at the Prijedor Theatre and was part of the “Prijedor Summer” event series.
