The Mayor of Derventa hosted the Ambassador of Japan to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The main topic of the meeting was the improvement of relations between Republika Srpska and Japan, as well as the opportunity to present the city’s economic potential.
The majority of the conversation focused on presenting Derventa, its capabilities, and future prospects. Mayor of Derventa Igor Žunić stated that the connection between the two countries through language learning, exploring Japanese culture, tradition, and cuisine opens up possibilities for economic cooperation as well.
“I introduced the ambassador to the economic potential of our city and the possibilities for Japanese entrepreneurs to recognize Derventa and this region as a place where they could start their businesses in the future,” said Žunić.
Toshihiro Aiki, the Ambassador of Japan to BiH, emphasized that there is already a strong foundation for cooperation and development.
“I believe that we already have a solid base for further development and opportunities for joint growth in many regions. I hope there are great possibilities for continued cooperation and strengthening relations between Japan and Derventa,” said Aiki.
