Eight migrants identified in BiH as security threat

Eight security-risk migrants have been identified in Bosnia and Herzegovina and have been issued deportation orders, the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs announced.

These individuals were identified at the Temporary Reception Center in Blažuj as foreign nationals residing illegally in BiH, originating from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Egypt.

Based on established facts and risk assessments, deportation measures have been issued against these individuals. They were subsequently placed under supervision at the Immigration Center in East Sarajevo, in accordance with the Law on Foreigners.

The individuals were discovered as part of intensified operational activities aimed at preserving security and public order within temporary reception centers across BiH.

The Service for Foreigners’ Affairs has urged citizens to contribute to public safety and legality by reporting any illegal or unregistered facilities used for the unauthorized accommodation of foreign nationals.

Reports can be submitted to the Service’s regional field offices throughout BiH, the statement added.
