Banja Luka transformed into an open-air stage

Banja Luka is bursting with street art, as the Street Performers Festival – Trotoart – takes place from June 9 to 15 in the largest city of Republika Srpska.

The streets of Banja Luka have become a stage for nearly 400 artists, marking a record number of participants at Trotoart so far.

As in previous years, a unique program has been prepared for everyone, and on Saturday, June 14, all visitors can look forward to a magical street spectacle by the renowned French troupe Remue-Ménage from Paris.

This troupe blends dance, theatre, circus, music, puppetry, and moving sculptures into mesmerizing street frescoes.

“Their performance Revue de Rue will take us back to the golden age of 1920s Parisian cabaret—full of life, glamour, and champagne energy,” said Milada Šukalo, project manager of the City of Banja Luka.

A rich and diverse program has also been prepared for children and youth, who will be able to enjoy creative workshops, music, comic art, dance, and many other entertaining activities throughout the festival.

The vibrant program will also feature performances by tamburitza players, choirs, painters, dancers, street musicians, living statues, and bands that will awaken every corner of the city on the Vrbas River.
