The Volleyball Club for the Disabled Banja Luka (OKI Banja Luka) achieved a historic success in the 2024/2025 season, confirming its dominance both at home and on the European stage. In the final two rounds of the Serbian Championship, OKI Banja Luka secured two victories—first defeating Belgrade’s KSO Smeč with a score of 3:1, and then overcoming OKI Feniks from Kikinda with a clean 3:0 win—clinching the national championship title in Serbia.
This triumph follows the club’s previous wins in the Republika Srpska Cup, the Republika Srpska Championship, the Silver EuroLeague, and a third-place finish in the Golden EuroLeague—making it a total of five trophies in a single season.
These results reaffirm the ongoing success of OKI Banja Luka.
Head coach Draško Mađar emphasized that the team was well-prepared and that he expected such an outcome, but noted there is still room for improvement in how the team opens matches to avoid early performance drops.
“I congratulate the team on its fifth medal this season. A well-deserved break is just around the corner,” said Mađar.
Club president Novak Grbić thanked all the players, friends, and sponsors, and called on relevant institutions to provide additional support to the club, which has been a symbol of pride for Banja Luka and Republika Srpska for over two decades.
OKI Banja Luka continues to stand as a symbol of perseverance, unity, and top-level sportsmanship, representing the finest example of inclusion and success for athletes with disabilities.
