Another competitive segment of the Theatre Fest is behind us, and the audience in Banja Luka will surely remember the final competition evening, when they had the opportunity to enjoy time with the actors.
At the traditional roundtable, jury members, critics, actors, directors, and numerous theatre enthusiasts gathered to discuss the themes and messages of the plays, the directors’ approaches, the performances of the actors, and the audience’s reactions.
After the discussion, a formal cocktail reception was held, where festival guests, participants, and the audience socialized in a relaxed atmosphere. Laughter, shared impressions, and wishes for new encounters marked the end of the competitive part of the festival.
A round of applause from the audience was earned by the play Central for Humor, produced by the National Theatre in Belgrade and directed by Olja Đorđević, based on a text by Đorđe Kosić. The cast included Radovan Vujović, Miloš Đorđević, Jovan Jovanović, Vanja Milačić, Pavle Jerinić, and Suzana Lukić.
After the outstanding performance of Wooden Birds by the Croatian National Theatre of Varaždin and Zagreb, the audience had the chance to talk with the actors, including Klara Fiolić, Karlo Mrkša, Barbara Rocco, Ljubomir Kerekeš, Zdenka Špiler, Helena Minić Matanić, Marinko Leš, Mirta Zečević, Sunčana Zelenika Konjević, Filip Vidović, and Hana Hegedušić.
In the play Redemption by the Serbian National Theatre, the audience had the opportunity to see well-known names from our acting scene, such as Boris Isaković, Marko Marković, Marta Bereš, Nenad Pećinar, Jugoslav Krajinov, and Marko Savić.
The competitive part of the festival featured five theatre troupes from Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, and BiH.
By the decision of the professional jury, the curtain will fall on the competitive program on Monday, with a performance in honor of the awarded participants. The program began on June 3.
