Dodik: Republika Srpska is the only sustainable entity in BiH

President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that Republika Srpska is the only sustainable entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that BiH will fall apart as soon as the foreigners leave.

“This has nothing to do with me or my actions; it’s a matter of internal relations that are pathologically unbearable. It’s not realistic, and more and more people realize and understand that,” said Dodik.

According to Dodik, BiH would not survive without foreign presence, and once they leave—and they will—BiH will collapse.

He pointed out that the current situation is different than it was a few months ago during the administration of U.S. President Joseph Biden and that things are now somewhat easier for Republika Srpska.

“When U.S. President Donald Trump now says that reality must be respected, we see that as an opportunity,” Dodik told Euronews Serbia.

He emphasized that he has not abandoned the idea of forming a border police for Republika Srpska, adding that he is not euphoric and understands it is a matter of context.

“We have prepared the law and we have everything,” said Dodik, reminding that Republika Srpska had its own border police from 1995 to 2006, but that the international community imposed the BiH Border Police by force.

He stated that there are no elements for conflict between Serbs, Muslim Bosniaks, and Croats in BiH.

“We are already separated, because the Dayton Agreement defined the entity border,” said Dodik.

The president of Republika Srpska added that foreigners can do all sorts of things, but he would not recommend it.

“Republika Srpska has never been removed from some form of sanctions. We have always been banned from accessing international capital markets. The whole problem we face is that Republika Srpska proves to be successful, while they want us to fail,” said Dodik.

APPELLATE PANEL’S RULING WILL SHOW RAPID COLLAPSE OF BiH

President Dodik believes that the Appellate Panel of the unconstitutional Court of BiH will demonstrate with its ruling on June 12 that BiH is on a fast track to dissolution.

“I will act in accordance with the decision they make. Let them do whatever they want. I think it will only show that BiH will rapidly fall apart,” Dodik said.

He stated that he will not attend the Appellate Panel session on June 12, that he does not accept the first-instance verdict, and considers it null and void.

“I didn’t even appeal. The National Assembly of Republika Srpska declared that the actions and operations of the unconstitutional court are banned on the territory of Srpska. The Constitution does not mention such a court,” Dodik said.

The president of Republika Srpska stressed that it is important to understand that he is in a judicial proceeding because, as president, he signed a decree based on the imposed decision of Christian Schmidt.

“This proceeding represents the instrumentalization of the judiciary, which has no constitutional foundation. That court has turned into a monster that persecutes all dissenters. Essentially, it is a political assault by Muslims on Serbs, as all participants in the case against me were Muslims,” Dodik said.

He pointed out that he never made any war-inciting statements, unlike Denis Bećirović and Elmedin Konaković, who constantly issue threats.

“I want to establish communication and maintain peace,” Dodik told Euronews Serbia.

He assessed that a Muslim totalitarianism exists in Sarajevo and that one is considered an enemy simply for having their own opinion.

When asked about his frequent visits to Moscow, Dodik said he would travel there whenever he has the opportunity to meet with the highest officials of Russia.

“I will also travel to other countries,” Dodik said.

The president of Republika Srpska emphasized that he enjoys being in Moscow, but he has no intention of organizing his life there, nor does he own anything in that city.
