Republika Srpska is a signatory party to the Dayton Peace Agreement and best affirms everything it established, stated Marko Romić, advisor to the President of Republika Srpska, during an appearance on RTRS morning program.
Romić emphasized that thirty years after the signing of the Dayton Peace Agreement, we are witnessing its blatant and flagrant violations at every turn.
“We have reached a point where the most important institutions function on unconstitutional grounds, and this was one of the topics discussed with members of the U.S. House of Representatives. On the one hand, you have the Serb member and Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, delivering a statesmanlike, serious, and leadership-oriented speech in Dayton, highlighting the realities of our everyday life in BiH. On the other hand, you have the Bosniak political structure constantly complaining about Republika Srpska. These worn-out clichés are no longer being listened to in Washington,” said Romić.
He pointed out that many people in the United States are well informed about the situation in BiH.
“While discussing the Dayton Peace Agreement, I clearly pointed to specific parts that are being violated. These are clear and easily verifiable facts,” Romić stated.
He noted that political circles in Sarajevo are now confused because Washington no longer blindly listens to them.
“They must adapt to the new political climate. Patriotism toward BiH, which they claim to love so dearly, is not demonstrated by violating the foundational principles on which this country was built. This continuous disregard has led to the induced political crisis. This crisis was not caused by President Dodik or Republika Srpska, but was instead imposed with the help of the illegal and illegitimate Christian Schmidt, who has lost all credibility in Europe, let alone in the United States,” Romić noted.
Romić assessed that there is no security crisis in BiH.
“This is a classic constitutional system crisis. I believe there is no institution in BiH that has violated the Constitution more than the Constitutional Court,” he said.
Speaking about the attempts of the Republika Srpska opposition and the “Trojka” to form a shadow government, Romić emphasized that those without political legitimacy and not elected by the people cannot form any kind of government.
“These individuals do not have enough representatives to form any government. Their politics are based on principles the people will never support,” Romić stated.
He concluded that every move made by Christian Schmidt has been anti-Dayton, anti-democratic, anti-Serb, and often anti-Croat.
“Schmidt is solely a servant of Bosniak politics. If we are to give a chance to Dayton BiH, then the OHR must be shut down and Schmidt must be removed,” Romić concluded.
