In the coming days, Doboj will be all about tennis, as the ITF M15 tournament kicks off on Tuesday with a prize pool of $15,000.
Tournament director Dragan Dragičević emphasized that spectators will enjoy high-quality matches and have the opportunity to support local players, especially Andrej Nedić, who has shown excellent form in recent matches.
“The top seed of the tournament is our own Andrej Nedić from Doboj, currently ranked 477th on the ATP list, while the second seed is Ukrainian Vyacheslav Bielinskyi, ranked 542nd. The tournament will feature as many as 15 players from BiH, while the rest come from over 20 countries. In addition to players from Europe, there are participants from Japan, Argentina, Canada, the United States, and Australia,” Dragičević said.
The qualifying draw also includes junior players from Tennis Club “Doboj,” Nikša Smiljanić and Filip Jevtić. The tournament supervisor is Vladimir Erg, and the event is organized by Tennis Club “Doboj,” with the City of Doboj as the main sponsor.
The winner of the tournament will receive not only a cash prize but also 15 ATP points.
