Concert of vocal ensembles marks 140 years of SKUD “Dr Mladen Stojanović”

Numerous lovers of traditional music gathered at the Kozara Museum for a concert of vocal groups, organized to mark the 140th anniversary of the Serb Cultural and Artistic Society “Dr Mladen Stojanović.”

Performances were given by the male and female vocal ensembles of the society, while members of the youth vocal section of the Cultural and Artistic Society “Kozara” from Prijedor further enriched the festive atmosphere.

The president of the society, Mladen Radić, stated that this event served to bring together members, friends, and the audience, while nurturing the tradition and heritage that this society has preserved for over a century.

As a major upcoming activity, he announced the final celebratory concert scheduled for June 17 in the Summer Garden.

SKUD “Dr Mladen Stojanović,” which continues the rich legacy of the Serb Singing Society “Vila” founded in 1885 in Prijedor, currently has around 250 members organized into six sections.

Through the announced concerts and guest performances held in honor of the anniversary, the society will continue to foster the richness of folk tradition and contribute to preserving the cultural heritage of the Potkozarje region.
